#MedSafetyWeek – Every Report Counts and Can Help Others in the Future

From 2–8 November 2020 we are marking the annual #MedSafetyWeek to increase the awareness of pharmacovigilance and importance of reporting all suspected adverse drug reactions. The campaign with this year's key message “Every Report Counts and Can Help Others in the Future” is organized by the Uppsala Monitoring Centre (WHO), with regulatory agencies from across the globe being a part of this campaign.

The medicines which have a marketing authorization approval are effective and safe to use, but still some adverse reactions can occur in the patients. Collection of this information helps with understanding of currently known adverse reactions, helps detect new safety signals, provides new information on potential risks, and gives deeper understanding of safety profile of the medicines and modes of action.

Medis has also joined the #MedSafetyWeek initiative and regularly encourages its employees to provide the necessary information from the market to ensure the best treatment options for our patients.
