Care for Environment
We take care to contribute to a regenerative and healthy environment:
- We consistently recycle waste and prohibit the use of single-use plastic in our offices.
- We drink tap water and refrain from using bottled water wherever possible.
- At least once a year, all employees help to clean up the environment in Slovenia’s annual environmental drive.
- We handle packaging waste responsibly and reuse cardboard boxes.
- Our open-plan offices are bright and airy, filled with green plants.
- We invest in sustainable materials like wood and glass, and strive for longevity in our office furnishings.
- Most of our promotional materials are either digital or intended for extended use.
- We also have a system for paperless invoice processing and insist on other paperless applications.
Solar Power and Green Roof
The latest result of our investments in renewable energy sources is the solar power plant that we installed next to the green roof above the warehouse in Medis. This has increased our energy self-sufficiency and reduced our carbon footprint by 61 tons of CO₂ per year.
We have also established a central control system to optimize electricity consumption. We heat and cool our facilities with a heat pump, and we have installed energy-efficient LED lighting throughout.
The roof itself is designed as a 3,000 m² green insulated surface, planted with moss and low grass, contributing to better microclimate regulation and reduced environmental impact.
Attracting and Supporting Birds
We care for the environment and actively protect it. In collaboration with DOPPS – BirdLife Slovenia, we developed a strategy to attract and support local bird species. Nesting houses have been installed on buildings and trees, and additional feeders encourage birds to stay year-round.
Species expected or already present include:
- Goldfinches, robins, siskins, wagtails
- Black redstarts, kestrels, swifts
- Bats, hedgehogs, bumblebees, and bees
Each species plays a role in natural balance, from insect control to pollination.

To help bees and other pollinating insects thrive in our environment, we have planted many flowering shrubs and we invested in a large, bee-friendly meadow that is mowed only twice a year. The planting strategy focuses on local and bird-friendly species, including fruit-bearing trees and native shrubs. Our "Living Garden" includes:
- 10 deciduous trees
- ~190 bushes
- 2,560 groundcover and perennial plants
- 1,600 m² of meadow grass
This vegetation creates shelter, food sources, and nesting opportunities for wildlife while requiring less maintenance and no chemical treatments.
Our efforts in nature-friendly landscaping have also been recognized by the City of Ljubljana: the avenue of red-leaved cherry plums on Brnčičeva Street, in front of the Medis building, was declared Avenue of the Year 2024 as part of the “For a More Beautiful Ljubljana” competition.
