Applications are now open for the 13th International Medis Awards for Medical Research, a regional initiative recognizing outstanding achievements in medicine and pharmacy across Central and Eastern Europe.
Researchers who have published original scientific work in internationally recognized journals are invited to apply. The Awards cover nine medical and pharmaceutical fields and highlight research that contributes to better diagnostics, treatment, and patient care.
Who can apply
Applications are open to doctors and pharmacists working in dermatology, gynecology, intensive care medicine and anesthesiology, neurology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, pharmacy, pulmonology and allergology, and rheumatology.
Eligible researchers may come from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
Submitted papers must have been published in an international scientific journal with an Impact Factor above 1.500 between 1 October 2025 and 31 October 2026.
Application process and key dates
Applications must be submitted in English via the online application form by 31 October 2026. The official award ceremony is planned for March 2027.
